Dr. Lauren Gallagher
Dr. Lauren Gallagher grew up in Albany, New York where her aunt and lifelong mentor introduced her to veterinary medicine at the age of 6. From then on, she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian and worked endlessly to make that dream happen. She attended the University of Richmond and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history with minors in Biology and Russian. She then attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and finished her clinical year at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Her motto is “If I cannot have them all, I will treat them all like they are my own.”
When Dr. Lauren is not tending to her beloved clients, she enjoys time with her daugher Evelyn. Also watching sports, reading, entertaining friends and family, and traveling with her husband Clay. She has two dogs Regina, and Fern. Also a pair of cats including their polydactyl cat Ernest and Luna. She looks forward to serving the Brunswick County Community by bringing quality vet care right to you!
Dr. Aimee Sink
Dr. Aimee is originally from Lexington, NC. After graduating from NC State College of Veterinary Medicine graduate she worked at a mobile equine / mixed (small and large) animal practice. Dr. Aimee has a passion for wellness and preventative care along with additional interests in sports medicine and theriogenology. In her free time she enjoys riding horses, showing her American Foxhounds, cooking, and reading. She shares her home with a Standard Poodle named Portia and two American Foxhounds, John and Cinder.
Dr. Giffin Hewett
Dr. Griffin Hewett will be officially starting with us 2026 offering acupuncture services! In her time recovering from back surgery in 2025, she obtained her certification from Chi Institute to provide acupuncture for your pets!
Acupuncture has been used as an adjunct treatment to successfully help treat many disease processes including pain (arthritic and neurologic), anxiety, inflammatory conditions, gastrointestinal conditions, neurologic conditions, and boost the immune system.
Dr. Griffin will be providing full consultations and acupuncture as well as follow up sessions. She will NOT be providing full medical, wellness, and surgical services at this time, though that is the goal depending on how her own recovery progresses!
Veterinary Technician - Toni Bederka
Toni Bederka was born and raised in upstate NY and has known since a young age that working with animals was her calling. She graduated in 2006 from SUNY Delhi with her associates in Veterinary Science Technology and has been working as a licensed veterinary technician ever since.
Her and her daughter Allie moved to Ocean Isle Beach, NC in 2020. When she isn’t devoting her time to the clients and their pets, she enjoys entertaining her daughter, going to the beach, playing video games or spending time with friends.
Besides her 2 legged child, Allie, she also has four fur babies. All are cats named Stewart, Esme, a feral fella named Richard, and Stevie.
Office Administrator - Cayla Allen
Cayla Allen is North Carolina native, growing up in Carolina Beach and moving to Brunswick County a few years ago. She has always had a passion for helping animals and people. She has been working in the veterinary field for 10+ years and has a passion for the administrative side of veterinary medicine.
When she's not dedicating her days to helping the pets of Brunswick county and putting a smile on peoples faces, she enjoys reading, painting, spending time outdoors, hiking, swimming and enjoying the sunshine with her Persian mix cat, Maurice and her dog Skynyrd.
